How can I test my fax service?
If you send a test fax to 987-987-9876, it will test the complete path of the fax service. If there are no problems, you will receive that fax back within several minutes. If you do not receive the fax back, please check network connectivity (on the Home page), and if you still do not receive it back after connectivity is restored, please contact support.
What does it mean when I hear a three-tone error when I try to send a fax?
You will hear this error when the physical port the fax device is plugged into can not authenticate to the fax service. Check that your fax machine is plugged into the correct port.
If this error continues to occur, and the fax port is correct, please contact support, as there may be an authentication issue with your fax device.
My Fax machine is not sending faxes!
Firstly, check to make sure there are no issues with the fax device itself by plugging a normal telephone into the port on the Fax Device, and dialling *4357 (*HELP). You should hear the Network Address of the device read back to you. If you do not get a dialtone, there may be a hardware issue with your device. Try removing the power cable from it for 10 seconds, and then plugging it back in. If that does not solve the problem, please contact support.
If you do hear a dialtone and the IP address of the device is read back to you, there are no hardware issues. Try to dial the fax number you are trying to send a fax to. If you hear normal fax tones, there is most likely a problem with your fax machine.
My Fax machine is not receiving faxes!
If you can see 'Faxes pending delivery' on the home page, this means your fax machine is not answering the phone, or, is plugged into the incorrect port. This is often caused by a broken phone cable, or, the fax machine being accidentally turned off. You can send a test fax to *411 from the fax machine to verify the cabling and configuration of your fax machine.
What are the default Admin Credentials?
The default credentials to access the Admin page are 'admin' for the username, and '222222' - that is, the number two repeated six times - for the password.
